Manchester City Edge Out Manchester United in Thrilling Derby Match
City Come From Behind to Claim Victory
Gundogan Scores Twice, Including Record-Breaking Goal
Manchester City secured a thrilling 3-1 victory over arch-rivals Manchester United in the 192nd Manchester derby on Sunday. The match was packed with drama, with City coming from behind to claim the win.
United took the lead in the 22nd minute through Antony, but City responded quickly. Ilkay Gundogan equalized just four minutes later, before scoring again in the 50th minute to put City ahead. Kevin De Bruyne added a third goal in the 64th minute to seal the win for the visitors.
Gundogan's first goal was particularly noteworthy, as it was the fastest goal in FA Cup Final history. The German midfielder scored after just 27 seconds, beating the previous record held by Roberto Firmino by 11 seconds.
City's win means they have now won more Premier League away games against Manchester United than any other club. It was also their first victory in the derby at Old Trafford since 2017.
